Ayers House Movers, Inc. has been safely and efficiently moving, raising and shoring various structures for the past 70 years. The company was originally founded in 1940 by John E. Ayers. John began his career as a hog farmer but he saw the potential of house moving with the inception of Fort A.P. Hill in the early 1940s. This required numerous houses to be relocated and John eagerly accepted the challenge. John's son Everette began learning the craft at an early age and eventually took over the reins of the company, expanding service into the Mid-Atlantic region. In 1999 Everette's son Jason assumed the role of president, bringing three generations and 70 years of experience to customers in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and North Carolina.
